Located in a little known part of North Mayo, this hostel is perfect for our young family exploring the area. the rooms are described as comfortable, clean, and cozy, with spacious bedrooms and a well-stocked kitchen. Guests can enjoy a delicious cooked breakfast and the beautiful gardens with wandering hens and pigs. the living room offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, with a burning stove and bags of turf to keep it topped up. the hostel also offers complimentary tea, coffee, milk, and cereals. the location is ideal for drying wetsuits after a day of adventure.
Limited wifi coverage and a remote location may not appeal to all travelers.

A hidden gem with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hostess, Betty, goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. The location is serene and beautiful, near the ocean and surrounded by stunning scenery. The house itself is clean and comfortable, with a touch of homeliness. The breakfast is delicious and there is plenty of choice for cooking your own meals. Even though the nearest town is a bit of a drive, the peacefulness of the area is worth it. I highly recommend Kilcommon Lodge Holiday for a memorable stay.

The scenery is breathtaking and it's conveniently located on the Atlantic Way. The service provided by the staff was outstanding, they were incredibly welcoming and helpful, offering plenty of information about activities in the area. The rooms were warm, clean, and cozy, with comfortable beds and good shower facilities. Plus, having cooking facilities in the rooms was a nice touch. The breakfast cooked by Betty herself was absolutely delicious, a perfect start to the day.

Remote location, tranquility and cleanliness. The hostel had a very well-equipped kitchen, including free coffee, tea, milk, and cereals. The owners/managers were very friendly and accommodating, even calling to provide exact instructions for a late check-in. The open atmosphere was great for socializing with other guests, and the common room was large and comfortable.
Lack of hot water for morning shower could be problematic. Some bunk beds lacked rails, making them unsuitable for younger children.

Stunning Location, Great Facilities, Helpful Staff, and Beautiful Gardens. I had the most wonderful stay in this hostel near the ocean and close to a small village. The facilities are top-notch, especially the professional kitchen which is the best I've seen in any accommodation. I enjoyed complimentary tea, coffee, milk, and cereals in a well-stocked kitchen. The living room had a warm stove burning away, and there were bags of turf beside it to keep it topped up - toasty! The staff was helpful, warm, and gave us the most genuine welcome. The gardens were beautiful with all kinds of flowers, trees, and herbs. Lastly, it was great to have a pub nearby to enjoy the view with a drink in my hand.
Couldn't find any faults at all. This city and this hostel were both perfect for a relaxing stay with everything you might need at hand.

The breakfast was good and had a variety of choices. the location was situated in a small and quiet village giving a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. the staff was friendly and helpful.
The Wi-Fi was poor and only accessible on top of a hill, which can be a struggle for some people. the rooms were cramped and poorly ventilated, making it difficult to sleep at night.
